This is a set of utilities for the
Bodos PalmBoy and Phoinix
Gameboy emulators. Some of them may be useful for other
applications as well.
This is a Hackmaster hack and requires the hackmaster application or a
compatible
replacement to be installed in order to work.
|
This hack allows the systems grayscale settings to be modified.
It works only with applications that
- use the PalmOS functions to set the video modes (most of my games don't),
- use the 2bpp grayscale mode (black, white and two shades of grey),
- and don't try to set the greyscale settings themselves (most game do this).
|
This hack will allow you to adjust the grayscale settings used by e.g. Phoinix/PalmBoy
to satisfy your needs. The adjustments will not affect programs that use
their own grayscale settings but they will affect all applications that
rely on the PalmOS functions to set the grayscale video mode. This way you don't
have to adjust the settings for each application seperately, but the settings
are changed globally for all applications.
History
- V1.0
- Initial release.
Real Freedom is a converter for
Phoinix cartridge images.
It can convert images from the format used by the
Gameboy emulators Liberty (commercial) and Phoinix/PalmBoy (free)
and gameboy cartridges stored on
SmartMedia using the axxPac
into the Phoinix format.
|
Currently the converter creates a blank RAM image for cartridges
with built-in RAM. This means, that saved games are lost
when converting cartridges.
The axxPac import routine works with cartridge images in *.gb
format as found as used with most gameboy emulators for the PC.
The converter does not allow to import cartridges stored in the
Phoinix PDB format on SmartMedia. Please use the axxPacShell
to import these files from SmartMedia to your Palm.
Cartridges in gb format can be stored on SmartMedia using a
adaptor for your desktop PC or with the axxPac using the
axxPac FTP utility.
